Pegasus Mail Suggestions
An obvious inclusion in the next release (IMHO) - slightly OT.

Great idea!

A link on the help menu under "visit Pegasus Mail website" and "visit Pegasus Mail online knowledge base" that said "visit Pegasus Mail Forums" would be a great way to make Pegasus users aware of these forums.

Personally I've never really participated in usenet discussions and really prefer the web forum  format like this.

After browsing this new "community.pmail.com", it seems like it would be a wonderful inclusion to the Help menu, in the same pane as www.pmail.com/ and http://kbase.pmail.gen.nz/. I would use it often and being handy would be a great asset.

A perfectly reasonable idea, and quite appropriate. Consider it noted.

Cheers!

David,

While this forum is all good and "with it" (i.e. looks flash)... remind people that they can search the Google Groups archive, specifically
comp.mail.pegasus* (should search the two groups that I know of).

If they fail to find an adequate answer, then by all means post here. This will be easier that trying to get newbies to use a usenet newsreader.

Cheers,
Ross

I use to use usenet newsreaders (XNews) and use to browse the newsgroup you mentioned, but my ISP in NZ stopped the support for this. So these forums are a great idea.

Yes forums are easier to use for the newbies but have the few advantages for the old hats as well ;)

My ISP dropped their NNTP server also. So now I use a free one; news.motzarella.org
There are still new posts to Pegasus & Mercury groups, but the volume is low.

This forum is great though, as we can finally see that DH is not the aloof character that some may have thought ;-)

[/quote] That menu could also point to Pegasus Mail's Donate page and to the Pegasus Mail shop (see my signature) - and I think, it should point there because...well, you know...the money.
As you probably know, providing and maintaining a great product like Pegasus Mail can became expensive, so the users should easily see how and where to support Pegasus Mail's further development.
(For the same reason, I would also like to see similar links in the help file and at the end of the setup process.)
