This is a very simple tool for converting Pegasus Mail signature files
using embedded image links to avoid crashes
caused under certain circumstances.
Usage: SigConv [RESTORE] "quoted directory path" [CON]
* All parameters are optional (see below for details),
"/?" or "HELP" as first parameter display SigConv.txt.
* SigConv
- prompts for a Pegasus Mail mailbox containing signature files,
shows a success message indicating the number of files converted.
* SigConv RESTORE
- prompts for a Pegasus Mail mailbox containing signature files,
shows a success message indicating the number of files restored.
* SigConv "quoted directory path"
- converts signature files found in the given directory,
shows a success message indicating the number of files converted.
* SigConv RESTORE "quoted directory path"
- restores signature files found in the given directory,
shows a success message indicating the number of files restored.
* Adding "CON" as the final parameter writes the success
message to the console window instead of a dialog.
Console mode samples:
* Converting: SigConv "C:\Pegasus Mail\Mail\UserName" CON
* Restoring: SigConv RESTORE "C:\Pegasus Mail\Mail\UserName" CON
After conversion you'll find backups of the converted signature files
in the selected mailbox directory with the file extension ".bak"
which are used for restoring the original files if you get
the impression of something being wrong after conversion
(or for whatever other reason).
Please let me know about any problems or suggestions!
