Spamhalter and IMAP - does this work?

[quote user="Paavo"]

I have to watch for incoming spam some more -  does it indeed have the stored probablity initially as 100%. I suspect that the content of the message is not inspected when the imap inbox maillist (I do not use preview mode) is displayed. Therefore the spamhalter might not be avare of the spam at that moment.

Well seems that the new (spam) email in the IMAP inbox folder has stored spam probablity of 0% whilst the current spam probablity is 100%. That confirms for me that incoming email  in imap folder is not analysed when folder status is refreshed (this is logical).

However what could be a workable solution how to let pmail to deal with spam in IMAP mailbox?

Hello!

After migration from POP3 to IMAP I now finally realized that spamhalter does not automatically move away the messages classified as spam from the inbox folder of IMAP mailbox.

There are some other things that cannot be set up for IMAP mailbox in similar way as it used to be for POP3 account (newmail rules for example) so I started to search for a workaround but unfortunately there seem to be no way to determine the spam classification by the options offered in general mail filtering rules.

Has anybody found a way how to use the spamhalter for IMAP mailboxes? Maybe I am overlooking something?

PS. I am running currently Pmail 4.51

Does Spamhalter tag the messages correctly? If so, it is up to rules of the mail client to move them to a different folder or delete them.

The specific messages have "stored" spam probability and "current" spam probablity both 100%. But this might be also the result of reclassification I have applied. However these messages are not moved even after the reclassification. When message is browsed the icon shows red (ie spam) but the message is not moved into the mailbox dedicated for spam.
