4.51, licensing changes...

Thank you Marco for pointing this out.

Licensing has changed, the current info on this matter is located here at the community under the Mercury pages: http://community.pmail.com/pmail/MercuryPricing.aspx

As for the FAQs and the whats new - this will be corrected.

hi,

since it's not clearly stated in the "what's new" pages, i'd like to ask if licensing has changed from previous versions to the new, promising!, 4.51.

it seems to me that a couple of paragraphs are new:

"Mercury/32 is provided as a free service for non-commercial users. For commercial users, modestly-priced licenses are available for purchase - please click here for more information on ordering licenses and the terms associated with them."
"If you are a non-commercial user and are running the program free of charge, you agree to be governed and bound by the following license terms in your use of the Mercury/32 program."

they were not there in previous help file.

should not this be mentioned also in the "what's new" section?

also, in the faqs it goes: "How

much does Mercury cost to register? Nothing - the software is free. You can license manuals for the program if you wish, but doing so is optional."

http://www.pmail.com/faqs/faqs_mwq.htm

i mean, I agree mercury is a valuable piece of software, and I agree that commercial users should pay for it, but i think it's an important change (if it is..) and sholud be stated clearly

my 2c

Marco
