Pegasus Mail cannot display two mail folders with the same internal ID
even if they are in separate mailboxes. Mail folders also have to be
Read-Write.
This causes problems when trying to view mail folders which have been
archived by copying them to backup media.
This utility:
1. Copies all .PMM and .PMI files in the source directory to the
destination directory and renames them as BAKxxxxx.PMM and
BAKxxxx.PMI.
2. Ensures that the resulting file is Read/Write.
3. Creates a different internal unique ID for the file.
Once you have run this program to restore archived folders to a
directory you can attach that directory using the Pegasus Mail 'Add
mailbox to list' option and access the archived folders in this new
mailbox.

I was in the "Pegasus Mail & Mercury" section and had just saved a message titled "How to remove duplicate emails" three (3) minutes before downloading this zip file, but don't have the associated post for this program saved.

I don't have any interest in removing duplicates, but am interested in folder statistics, so this program is useful for me. Editing the .ini file got it to work for me, but I would like to know the provenance of the program, and if there any update. The creator did ask for feedback, but didn't provide any contact info.
Since this sub-forum is for add-ons, maybe someone can identify it.

Hi folks,
we are running PMAIL with IERenderer for every User in our Company, with ActiveDirectory (AD) and some central GPO-Control.
I'd like to send Updates for IERenderer and maybe PMAIL, too, with GPO on startup for some/most of these PCs.
Are there .msi-Versions of the Update-/Install-packages available or does anyone know how to build (distribute) it?

Will this below be an issue for IERenderer? Does it use any of Windows legacy web view components?
I have some issues with the new version of IERenderer 2.7.3.1. There seems to be a major bug inside the new version.
Many emails are no longer formatted correctly.
These problems did not occur with previous version 2.7.3.0.
I am now back on version 2.7.2.8 because 2.7.3.0 is unfortunately no longer available for download on the IERenderer website.
A single-user installation of Pegasus Mail done overtop of a multi-user installation can result in the creation of a Home mailbox directory in C:\PMAIL\MAIL rather than keeping it combined with New mailbox directory typically located in C:\PMAIL\MAIL\ADMIN. This document contains instructions for combining them, returning to Home and New in C:\PMAIL\MAIL\ADMIN.

Sometimes someone answers my e-mail with an emoji, e.g. a Like, but the IErenderer produces an error instead: "Error 415 - unsupported media type":
Is there a setting to prevent the error and show the emoji?
I'm testing Pegasus on Linux Mint under the latest version of Wine 9.15
V4.80 you need to disable/remove IErenderer and disable bearhtml as expected, with the result that any graphics are a problem.
However Pegasus V4.73, with the included version of IErenderer V2.4.10.3 mostly works, there is a popup error at times regarding something not implemented, the message is not really indicating what.
I have tried IErenderer 2.6.5.4 and it goes back to not working.
I am wondering if any of the intervening versions of IErenderer would be available, that I could use to test to see if I can get better results.

This is PmailUnDup by Lamster Consulting. The original source was which no longer exists.
PmailUnDup was designed to remove duplicate emails however it also checks folder integrity and fixes indexes. It should work with any 4.x version of Pegasus Mail. It is supplied AS IS, without any warrantee as to merchantability or fitness for use.
The PmailUnDup230.zip file is the originally downloaded file.

I recently updated IERenderer from version 2.7.1.4 to 2.7.1.5, and since then, I could no longer open e-mail messages. When I tried Pmail freezed. I tried to uninstall, and reinstall it, but it didn't help. Uninstalling it and then installing the older 2.7.1.4 version "solved" the problem. Now I can open messages. Anyone else had this problem? Should I report it elsewhere?
PegFolders is a utility that generates a list of the Pegasus Mail folders in the current directory, showing the operating system filename, the internal Identifier string, the user friendly "Folder Name", and the file size.
FYI: I've just uploaded another PMPGP Maintenance Update for those of you still using my respective extension. Here's what I've done recently to fix some issue reported by (the only?) one of my busiest remaining users:

The attached whitepaper was created to assist users who needed to move their mailbox directory. The need was prevalent when Windows 10 broke Pegasus Mail for everyone who had it installed in the \Programs Files directory. Fixing it required a clean installation of Pegasus Mail to an unprotected directory followed by a restoration of the mailbox data from the old Pegasus Mail installation. The process is also appropriate for anyone who needs to copy mailbox data to an installation of Pegasus Mail on a different PC or who is having problems with Pegasus Mail and wishes to start with a clean install while maintaining their data.
There have been some changes to Pegasus Mail since it was written but it remains a valuable resource. Specific questions about the process can be posted in the Community Discussions and Support category of this forum.

The archiv file contains the original mkquot archiv (with the original 16-bit version) and recompiled versions for 16- (Pentium II compatible), 32-and 64-bit environment.

This is probably the last upgrade of Bearhtml to be made available before Pegasus Mail V5 becomes available. Basic support for Html V5 is included in this release, and some CSS V3 is also included. The implementation of Html V5 is somewhat problematic, as the software vendors implementing the conversion from Html V4 to Html V5 have different interpretations of the new functions. Also of concern is that migration of Html V4 code is being implemented by converting to CSS V3 instead of Html V5.
From time to time I may release further upgrades to resolve these vendor implementation problems. Please bear in mind that you can flip over to using IERenderer if Bearhtml cannot resolve displays correctly.
