Salve a tutti,

ho recentemente cambiato macchina e sono passato da Vista a Windows 7. Nel passaggio ho aggiornato Pegasus Mail da una versione precedente a quella più recente.

Ho notato che le istruzioni per conservare la posta che ho trovato sul sito sono deficitarie. Oltre a quanto ho letto nelle faq (http://www.pmail.com/faqs/faqs_wsi.htm) ho dovuto impostare la cartella dove ho messo la posta in modo tale da dare all'utente interessato i diritti in lettura/scrittura, cosa che dentro c:\program files\etc non è scontato.

Riscontro i seguenti problemi.

1) La gerarchia delle cartelle dove ho archiviato la posta è andata a farsi fottere.

2) Una delle rubriche di indirizzi si è corrotta (ai nomi memorizzati corrispondono altre mail o nessuna mail).

I punti precedenti si risolvono anche "a mano" con un po' di pazienza ma:

3) Capita spesso che aprendo una cartella o facendo una qualsiasi operazione il programma lanci il messaggio: "ha smesso di funzionare". Se gli si dà tempo, spesso si ripiglia e quindi basta aspettare un po', ma siccome succede spesso, mi rompe le scatole aspettare per operazioni banali.

4) Spesso il sistema va in crash. Capita quando inavvertitamente Pegasus è in stato "ha smesso di funzionare" e si clicca ulteriormemente, oppure quando si aprono messaggi apparentemente innocui. Ad esempio per accedere a questo forum ho dovuto resettare la password (mi ero registrato mille anni fa) e la mail che ho ricevuto ha mandato in crash Pegasus quando ho fatto doppio clic per aprirla.

5) Quando avvio Pegasus dopo un crash, ci mette una vita ad avviarsi. Capita che interrompa l'avvio mentre leggo 25-50 o 75 cartelle, dopodiché riavviando parte velocemente. Boh...

Vedo che l'area degli italiani è disabitata, non ho controllato nell'area anglofila se questi temi sono già stati affrontati. Provvederò se non risponde nessuno...

Hi to all,

recently I changed computer and I passed from Vista to Windows7. In the new machine I upgraded Pegasus Mail to the last version.

First I signale the fact that instructions I found at this page () are not complete. I had to set the folder where I stored mails in read/write way by the user involved.

Now, I have these problems:

1) Gerarchy of folders where I stored my mails are completely scrambled. I had to re-built everything...

2) One of my address book is corrupted.

3) Often when I open a folder, or doing any task, Pegasus tell me "Pegasus mail stopped to run" (I'm transalting from Italian to English, so may be different). Often, if you do nothing, it will run. Anyway I have to wait a lot of time while I'm using Pegasus.

4) Often Pegasus goes to crash. It happen when I clic one more time while the message "Pegasus stopped to run" appear. Or when I open messages arrived by a Moodle notification, or other "complicated" (html based or similar). For example, to be able to write in this forum, I received a mail with the forgotten password. When I opened the mail, Peggy crashed.

5) When I run Pegasus after a crash, it take a lot to run. I can read: "25 folder ok" and then "50 folders"... Often it stops at 25, often at 150...

I'm a little surprised that apparently none of the Italian Pegasus Mail users subscribed to this forum, since there's an Italian translation available I would have expected some did, but anyway:

My suggestion from the previous reply still stands: Did you download and install the most recent version of IERenderer? Among other issues it fixes a couple of crash conditions introduced with IE 9. With regard to slowness make sure that Tools => Options => Advanced settings => Use Windows Internet services ... is set to Always. Aside from this there are a couple of other issues to take into account: Windows 7 issues and other possible crash conditions. If all this doesn't help please post the data from the Help => About Pegasus Mail => Info screen.
