I have absolutey no idea how ActiveSync works, but maybe <a mce_href="http://davmail.sourceforge.net/index.html" target="_blank" href="http://davmail.sourceforge.net/index.html">this is the application</a> (DavMail, and <i>this isn't spam</i>!) you need for accessing your mail etc. I'm using it for successfully bypassing "Outlook Web App".
