If, in your tests, A colorizes the message, then it is triggering something in A.  Try testing with different colors for A and B, then disable B (just because you get a B color doesn't mean A didn't trigger, it just means it re-colored it) and test A first.  If it doesn't color with A, then enable B and test again.

On a few occasions, I've opened Pegasus while my online backup software was backing up and it throws pmail for a loop.

When I get pmail back up under recent search folder I have hundreds of headers. Some of these hold hundreds of messages, when I click I can't open. Is there a way to delete these other then one at a time?

In regards to age, I am right behind you, with retirement staring me in the face.  [:(]   If there is anything I can help with, just post it here or email me direct to irelam@telus.net.

<style> body {font-size: 10pt; font-family: "Arial Unicode MS"; }</style>irelam,

If you are just behind me, do not follow me as I do not know where to go.  HA!  Just strange is my middle name and after that is 'Ding-a-ling', I took the blame for anything that went wrong at my work then went in and fixed it.  I regret not taking any programming courses or any college as far as that goes, now my time is taken up by these systems and trips to Dr's visits for my Wife.

Thank you for this offer, may need some of your expertise later on after getting these systems up and talking to each other.

Had a problem getting the new version working after the install, that folder is 'Read Only' and the bearhtml.dll file would not load, so I went in and changed it.  Still would not load so with my unzipper program, 7-Zip, just had it rename that file and write in the new '*.dll' and now it works.  This Vista is a PAIN-in-the-___, if you know what I mean, but; is so much more secure, this I like.

Have a good evening, day, week, month, that is enough do not want to put a HEX on you,

I have the same problem in past but only with 1 account. The ISP have config the mailserver, that when you connect with a mail client over "POP3", the mails after that automatic where deleted on the server, even when you only make an "selective viewing".
I had the external calmAV dameon checked and not the controlled by Mercury.  Would that be my problem?
Yes, if the ClamD program is not running and Clamwall is not in control of the program it can't start it.

I can get it to run manually with no problem.

Do I need to specify config docs under the clamAV config button?

You need to specify the directories that contain the ClamD and Freshclam programs in the ClamAV tab.

Why not contact hostmaster.walmart.com as the soa RP states, and reference this thread?
Did that over three years ago.  They responded and said thanks a lot we'll pass it on to our vendor that supplies the software.  Tried again about a year ago; same results.  Obviously they believe that since it does not affect Outlook, OE or T-bird it not really a problem.  ;-(   Since I only go to WalMart as the "vendor of last resort" it's not that big a deal for me.

Thomas,

Thanks for the tip about deleting/renaming the .CNM files.  I crashed Pegasus today, and was searching the Internet for a solution - and found this forum!

Is a Pmail install simple (like Agent I use at home) where you can just copy the entire C:\pmail folder to the new PC and it would work.

Yes, a copy of everything to the c: drive of the other computer will work and all you need to do is create a new shortcut pointing to c:\pmail\programs\winpm-32.exe to run the program.  Any registry entries required will be created when you run the program.  You should run Tools | Options | Hyperlinks "System mailer" to make the program available to the system.

Thanks Tom I'd be happy to but please tell me how I did a message? Not sure where in PMAIL I find the file.

Select the message in the message listing and then hit right click "Save message data to file" and use something like badmess.cnm as the file name.  You can then use "My computer to go to the directory and zip up the file.
We're using the mail merge option to send out several newsletters to several thousands of subscribers.

More than half of the recipients of one newsletter have subscribed to one or several other newsletters as well.

Often people cancel a subscription to one newsletter and start nagging about being spammed because the other newsletter they had subscribed to that they have not cancelled has arrived.

This takes a lot of time to manage, we basically have to check the email address against every datafile.

I am looking for a way to filter outgoing mail in a mailmerge against a list of 'no-go addresses'. In English: "Check if any address in this mailing list is also part of the checklist and if so, don't send the newsletter to that address".

Can this be done in Pegasus Mail?

I do not see a way to do this in PMail but what are you using to create the source data file in the mail merge?  I assume you are using the same program for all of them.  It seems that you should be able to scan all of the data files you are using looking for an address you just received in an unsubscribe fairly easily.  Might even be able to GREP the source data files since they are pretty much plain text but if they are created dynamically like mine are that would not help all that much.

Now if you are using Mercury/32 to send the mail you might be able to use a policy to send mail to a program you develop.  The program would be looking at the To: address and then scanning the list of "no-go addresses" for a match.  If there is a match the message would be deleted or (better) sent to another users to verify the address should be removed.

Thanks for your help,

Arthur Swart

As Thomas explained, a message forwarded with attachments will contain an attachment made up of the original message content.  It will contain two such attachments if the original message was received in both a plain text version and an HTML version.  One will be listed with file type "plain text" and the other with "HTML text".  You can remove them before sending.

Ok.  Problem solved, I think.  Entirely user error and lack of experience.  I had wsock32.dll set to never load.  Of course, now I have Internet Options, but don't need to debug as IMAP is also working.  Thank you, Thomas, for your input.

If you searched on GMail in this setup I'll bet you'll find at least one message with this info.  ;-)

The firewall generally can be application specific and so one application can work when another cannot.  You really need to verify that the application you are using is allowed to use the internet.
I read the help file regarding the TOOLBAR.PM file.  After playing around I noticed that I could only edit the first toolbar.  I didn't see any way of editing the buttons on the toolbar that controls folder and email functions.  Is there a way to also customize this toolbar?  I'd like to condense these two into one if possible.
Not possible.  You can change the top tool bar a bit with the right click to show graphics only but there is no way to merge the two.
Thank you.

I had been there before and there was only the Bio page. This time I waited a minute of so (I'm on slow dialup out in the counrtry) and the other tabs eventually appeared.
